The FoSD Summer Ball is on Friday 1st July and is to be held in a marquee in the school grounds.- see inside for details.


Our first May Fayre has been a great success.

News, allocations, future events, and the announcement of the FoSD web site!


Allocatons: Five new combination TV/VCR have been purchased for the preparatory school. To complement this equipment a DVD player has been purchased.

Blinds for the junior gymnasium. Those of you who attended and sweltered at events in there during the summer will appreciate how much of a benefit this will be to the girls.

New adventure playground equipment.

School shop. Changes to the committee


Well done girls, for coming along to the School Shop each week. The shop will be open again in September so don'tspend all your money during the holidays!

The AGM was held on the 9th October. The business part of the evening was soon over and those that attended were able to enjoy a glass of wine and chat informally with the committee.

Allocations of money have been made towards CCTV cameras,car park lighting, combined TV/videos for three departments. Display boards for the GCSE and A level art work have also been purchased.
Additional funds have been provided to the learning support department to purchase special comprehension texts.


FoSD has agreed a long term project to the redevelopment of the senior gym as a Performing Arts Centre,

FoSD recently held its Annual General Meeting at which the officers of the committee were elected.

A number of long standing members stood down, but we were pleased to welcome Alison Wickham and Emma Tucker onto the committee.

FoSD fund raising during 2003/2004 had been very successful enabling us to continue supporting a number of school requests., again details inside

This year FoSD has been pleased to support two local charities:

The Walton Leigh School: This is a special school for children with severe learning difficulties, many of whom also have additional physical handicaps.

The Shooting Star Trust is our Charity for the Christmas Bazaar. We hope to be able to buy them a specific piece of equipment for the new Children
