The news is that the company and its Chairman are now supportive of the intention to take over the school.  So that is a positive indication - what they are now doing is looking at the feasibility of it. 

This afternoon (5th May) they are talking to the school's solicitors to see what can be done about taking the school over. 

Things seem to be going in the right direction - and our contact says that it may be that they will want to talk to parents again this week so we need to think how we can get people together at short notice.

I was contacted today by a representative of an organisation which has rescued a number of schools threatened with closure.

While nothing can be guarenteed at this stage we are to have a meeting today to explore the possibility of saving St. David's from bring forced to close

I imagine by now you will all have got your letter from the head of the school's governors with the shock announcement that the school is to close at the end of the summer term.

I know nothing else at the moment and I intend to be at the meeting on Sunday 19th April, when I hope to learn more.
