Please see the school website - the governors have rejected IES's bid in favour of a takeover by St. James's boys school.

These will be no senior girls  school from next year.

I cannot help but feel that the governors have made the wrong decision - they have let down every girl in the senior school.

The only cosolation is that the site of St. David's will remain as a school, rather than being redeveloped for other purposes.

The move is decribed as a "merger", but how can it be a merger when the majority of the girls will find they have no places in the new arrangements?
